To my family,
friends, and supporters:
I would like to
express my sincerest thanks to those of you who have made this
campaign a reality. It was with your help and guidance, your
prayers and encouragement, that I have been able to make this
journey with you.
While our efforts
were not successful, we were able to talk about numerous issues and
begin to chart a new direction which would help not only ourselves,
but our fellow Delawareans. I am so honored to have shared in that
experience with you.
My advice to those
of you who have suffered for too long without decent paying jobs; to
those who can not afford healthcare coverage or their prescriptions;
to those people who feel our national security is at risk; or to
those of you who believe that our children are falling through the
educational cracks, I implore you to hold your elected official
accountable. They work for you and are to be held responsible for
their actions.
It has been a
privilege to meet many of you and I hope that one day soon, we will
be working together on a new direction for Delaware.
