Republicans have been in control of the House, Senate, and White House for 6 years, and have failed to use their majority status to strengthen our borders. Here is where our country stands today on border security and immigration, as well as the Spivack Plan of Action:
Current Situation:
The borders of the United States are extremely porous An estimated 11-12 million illegal immigrants are currently in the United States There is a high volume of “domestic outsourcing” of jobs
Spivack Plan of Action:
Enforcement of existing laws. Shut the border to future illegal immigration Register undocumented immigrants who are in the United States Help to make it easier for unions to organize, such as the card check procedure Take legal action against businesses who hire illegal immigrants Insist that neighboring countries improve the working and living conditions within their own countries to help stem immigration After a pre-determined date has elapsed in which undocumented immigrants can register in the United States government, all future illegal immigrants would be returned to their country of origin
